Volunteer Cape Town
Anir Experience is a volunteer work and cultural education program focused predominantly on North American awareness awakening. Anir is a non-sectarian, non-governmental organization, working cooperatively with NGO’s and grassroots community groups in Southern and Eastern Africa. Anir Experience strives to broaden the global perspective and sense of global responsibility among North Americans (USA & Canada) by offering community service and educational opportunities in underserved communities in Southern and Eastern Africa. We want US American and Canadians to not only learn about the world beyond North America & Western Europe but to also participate in the world, as well.
Volunteer Cape Town, South Africa
Except for the two COVID-19 years, Anir Experience has been doing volunteer and educational programs in Cape Town South Africa since 1997. We work with grassroots organizations and all money goes towards projects and participant support. Our first 2025 project will be in connection with Uthando.
A 10-Day Volunteer/Vacation
Dates: March 17 - 27, 2025 (Scheduled your travel to arrive in Cape Town, South Africa (CPT) March 16, 2025 and depart March 30, 2025)
Mar-17 2025 Worksite Orientation: Community Gardening, which helps families of HIV and extended poverty and/or building repairs to the Amy Biehl Foundation after school center.
Mar 18-21 Full workday. It might be at one site all day or divided between 9:00-noon one site, lunch noon-12:30 and 13:00-17:00 at another site or afternoon cultural activity.
Mar 22 A trip to the Cape of Good Hope. Driving the start of the Garden Rout to the Cape Peninsula and the Cape of Good Hope
Mar 23 Go to the top of Table Mountain and in the afternoon visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison. Late afternoon free to wonder the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront
Mar 24-26 A similar work schedule as the first week
Mar 27 Morning work, afternoon closing ceremony.
Mar 28 Day safari
Mar 29 Day trip to the Western Cape’s famed wine country or a Cape Malay cooking class.
Mar 30 Depart
